Working Ranch Safety and Expectations
Basecamp Lassen is a working ranch comprised of land that we are striving hard to regenerate as well as wild open space. It is located in a remote area with no food, gas, or basic medical services in the immediate vicinity. The natural area has wildlife and many other natural hazards. You may encounter rattlesnakes, mountain lions, bears, coyotes, and other predators as well as rocks, fast-moving water, holes in the ground, etc. Working livestock may be present. Guests should expect large farm equipment to be in operation on the land during their stay. Guests should be aware of their surroundings, keep dogs on a leash, and keep small children close by. An adult representative must sign a liability waiver for their own self/family (provided before check-in).
