Basecamp Lassen Ranch, spanning 300 acres, offers an authentic and stunning natural landscape as the backdrop for old-time and modern film and photo productions. As one of the earliest Northern California ranching homesteads, original features such as an historic barn and rock and wood fences evoke images of the region’s history. The rural land boasts direct, clear views of Mt. Lassen, lush green pastures for livestock to graze, oak-shaded forests, 3 miles of freshly cut hiking trails, and martian-like meadows dotted with boulders from Mt. Lassen's eruptions, creating a striking confluence of diverse landscapes. A mile of Battle Creek frontage offers a private, year-round raging river, surrounded by towering cliffs and rock walls, once used by the local Native American population for protection. To the south, Digger Creek also runs all year, a smaller and wadable water source into which the property’s private 2-acre pond flows.

Two modern lodge-style homes are available for use, including the owners’ main lodge with a brand-new swimming pool and a guest home. A smaller game hall and garage are also on site. Grazing animals, including cattle, goats, and sheep, are available to add authenticity to farming scenes. For production needs, the ranch is well-equipped with solar power, Starlink internet, and plenty of space for production vehicles, trailers, and catering to ensure a comfortable and connected environment for crews.
